ONCE THAT IS DONE AND YOU FEEL GREAT, ADD ANOTHER 30 DAYS
RINSE - REPEAT

My name is Monika and for the last few years have been trying to lose 20 lbs. and my husband 40 lbs. We struggled no matter what we tried. It seems that at a certain age it just does not want to go. I came upon an article and watch some YouTube videos on Keto so I bought some Keto books which started our journey and boy did that change our life. 10 lbs. off for me and the first 20 lbs.for my hubby. It was really weird to eat more fat to lose weight but it worked. No carbs made a HUGE DIFFERENCE. There were still some lbs. to lose but we plateaued. Keto was the stepping stone for us to jump to the next level of CARNIVORE which to our surprise got the last 10 lbs. off for me and another 20 lbs. for hubby. Not only did we feel great, the simplicity of shopping , preparing, thinking about what to eat was gone. Here are the steps to your new life .

WARNING: Start slowly or you will get some reactions because your body is adjusting.

Nausea: In the carnivore diet, fats become a primary source of energy. If you're not accustomed to a high-fat diet, this sudden change can result in feeling of nausea or even vomiting and/or diarrhea.

This happens because your gallbladder and pancreas, responsible for producing bile and enzymes to digest fats, need to ramp up their activity.

Over time, your body will typically adjust to the increased fat intake, and nausea will decrease or disappear altogether - as many of these carnivore diet side effects do.

The carnivore diet is a plan that involves eating only animal foods and products. This includes meat, fish, eggs, chicken ( with skin), pork, lamb, and high fat dairy products( limited). Animal fats such as butter, tallow, Ghee, Bacon Fat and Olive Oil is the only source of fat you need. No seed oils like sunflower, canola, peanut oil, vegetable oil and all other seed oils. They are toxic.

There are no fruits, vegetables, bread or grains and limited dairy intake. Some real die hard carnivores only eat meat, salt and water.

Too boring for me so I do add spices and twist it up a bit. Since your meal contains high good fats, you eat until you are satiated which doesn't take a lot to satisfy you.

The carnivore diet is considered a zero-carb diet or animal sourced foods (ASF) diet. Because of the low carb intake it is recommended and essential to replenish with electrolytes (no sugar added).

Here is a great article by Samatha Boesch to back it up.

Contrary to popular belief  eggs are healthy and do not raise cholesterol.

We eat eggs every day. Fried Eggs, soft boiled, and we use it in many meal preps like carnivore noodles ( to replace pasta) as well as a binder for beef and used to bread chicken ( with pork rind crumbs) for nuggets.

SO EAT YOUR EGGS !!

YUMMY BUTTER & FATS

What can I say.  I love butter and have even at times just ate about a tbsp. to keep me going if I felt a bit hungry.  I know it sounds weird, but it works and I would rather have butter that some empty calorie carbs.  Grass fed is best but if your budget is an issue then any real butter on sale is fine. No plant based butter, no margarine.  It must be the real thing. I even put a slab of butter on my steak after it is cooked so I can  soak up the melted butter with each slice of beef.  OMG  so good.  Tallow is great for cooking and can usually be found at a good butcher already rendered and clean.  I will be adding some recipes using the tallow to may your own skin care products.  You won't believe how good it is.

When cooking bacon, keep the fat and store for cooking.  It gives a great flavor to foods and you do not have to buy it.  It is FREE after you cooked your bacon.

LET'S TALK  BEEF & BISON

Beef comes in many cuts so I will give you a run down on what to look for when choosing your meat.  It does not have to be a budget breaker. Everyone can afford to change their shopping habits for better health.

Rib Eye - is the best fat to meat ratio. Of course free range grass fed beef (Canada)   is best however It can be expensive so look for their sales when possible.  Another alternative that just blew my mind is Chuck Roast cut into steaks. I saw a couple of butchers give out this SECRET HACK and showed what to look for when buying this cut.  I went to Costco (in Canada) and here they call it Bottom Blade Roast and sometimes Chuck Roast, but at Sam's Club they call it Chuck Roast.  Here is picture of the cut you should be looking for.  It needs that nice thick fat piece going across the meat.  Sometimes it looks rounded in the packages so don't be fooled.  We found a two pack and one was really good and the other too lean.  Go through the packages to pick and choose the best one you can find.  We can get 2 to 4 steaks out of 1 roast or you can cook the whole piece and cut it up for 2-4 people. We did it in an Instant Pot and it was delicious. You can also braise it which is great as well. Learn how to do this and you will safe money. When budget permits we do get the rib eye.  That is a treat.

BISON:  Bison meat is richer in protein with higher amount of micronutrients like vitamin B12, zinc, iron, selenium, and omega 3 fatty acids.  This cut is great as a change from beef . I found ground bison at Costco in a 2 or 3 pack.  Good to have in your freezer.

We also buy lots of ground beef.  80/20 fat ratio.  GRASS FED  beef is optimal that can be purchased HERE.  Great bundle offers and discounts.

There is so much you can do with ground beef (even from the grocery store) and for some reason we never get tired of eating it.  Meat Loaf, burgers, meat balls, fried up with eggs, stuffed balls with some cheese and breaded with pork rind crumbs etc.  You can use some Primal sauces to top off for flavor and Voie La, you have a great meal that didn't break the bank.  Imagine how easy this is since you do not have to worry about a side dish or salad, potatoes or rice because you are no longer eating those carbs.

SO EASY AND SIMPLE

PORK  BELLY & BACON

I assume you never thought about eating pork belly.  Neither did I, however we really enjoy it now.  You can air fry it, boil it then fry it,  BBQ it and sometimes we make Korean Pork Belly (the sauce it not really carnivore but on occasion we do eat this for a change). The ratio of fat to meat is just right. OMG I am hungry looking at this pic. This can also be accompanied with chicken wings.  A little of this and a little of that.  You would be surprised on how filling this can be.

LAMB

Lamb is a great alternative and nice change to beef.  We love lamb chops on the BBQ.  Haven't tried leg of lamb yet but that is my next cut of meat to try.

There are some people who react to many foods. Some people can  only eat lamb and others only beef or if your like me, I can eat everything.  You will get to know your body once you begin.

CHICKEN WINGS & CHICKEN LEGS

Well what can I say.  I love chicken wings.  You can fry, bake in oven or air fry. Chicken wings are great because you can use clean Primal sauce (minimal) to flavor things up and the skin is the best part.  Fat and crispy.  Legs are great too because of the skin and there is more flavor in dark meat than white meat.  When whole chickens are on sale you can buy a couple and cut up the pieces into legs, thighs, and breast (you can serve those to guests) and add the couple of wings to a batch you already bought separately.

We very rarely eat chicken breast because you would have to add fat to make it worthwhile to eat.  Too much work for me.  I like easy and flavorful.  Sometimes I make pork belly and chicken wings for a meal to change things up and give me choice.

 FISH

The best fish to eat on a carnivore diet is salmon, sardines, and mackerel. Tuna is another option however it is not as good as the others mentioned here. Try to avoid canned fish in oil since most are sunflower, canola or other seed oils. Salmon is a good source of protein and is a fatty cut of fish from the underbelly.

 ELECTROLYTES

I cannot stress enough on the importance of electrolytes for hydration during this process. It is a must and after drinking this you will see a difference.  Each packet of LMNT contains 1000 mg sodium, 200 mg potassium, 60 mg magnesium, and zero sugar. This bold yet simple formula is based on the latest scientific literature and evidence gathered from thousands of people.  Click LMNT and get to the real facts. You need more salt, not less.

Place your order HERE  and  you are ready to start your 30 Day Challenge.

These electrolytes come in fabulous flavors and there is even a Chocolate Medley you can drink hot.  I just love it and so does my husband, daughter and son.  My daughter was a vegetarian for years and told me that after becoming a carnivore she noticed how great she felt and told me once when she cheated with sushi, dessert etc. that the bloating and feeling sick is what she felt all the time as a vegetarian.  She just couldn't believe it and now knows her body and what works for her.

She now drinks enough fluids because of the LMNT electrolytes and will continue for the rest of her life.
